Jeff Fisher - Club Founder, Head Coach
Coach Jeff has been Head Men's and Women's Diving Coach with the Universtiy of Maryland, Baltimore County since 2021. Last year was UMBC's best season in years, with four top eight finishes and the Men's 1M champion at the America East Athletics Conference Championships.
Jeff has coached competitive springboard diving since 1990. Before coming to Baltimore, Jeff spent 14 years as an assistant age group developmental and competition diving coach at the Mile High Dive Club in Denver, where he helped develop the program in its infancy and coached age group athletes between the ages of 5-18 in developmental and competitive one- and three-meter springboard diving. He also served many years as a head diving coach for several high schools in the Colorado High School Activities Association, coaching both girls and boys and taking several athletes to state championships over the years. Coach Jeff also coached the Metropolitan State University of Denver's Men's and Women's Diving Team (2001-02), where he took three athletes to the NCAA Division II National Champoinships.
Prior to coming to Maryland, Coach Jeff worked in the private sector as a small business owner and business consultant, guiding entrepreneurs through launching, growing and selling small businesses in multiple sectors. Jeff earned All-American honors in all four seasons at swimming and diving powerhouse Kenyon College, in Gambier, Ohio (1992-96) where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Philosophy. He dove and went to D-III Nationals all four years, finishing fourth on three-meter and sixth on one-meter in his senior year, as the Lords won national titles in all four of his seasons. He went on to earn his master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado, Denver in 2001.
